So be aware it come with a great risk. HashFlare.io offers cryptocurrency cloud mining services on modern, high-efficiency equipment. Some have already add them in their scam list: 'Fake mining at it's most transparent. This is just a piss poor ponzi fraudster' I personnaly will not take the risk to invest anything with them, but could reconsider my position after few months if they're still running. Ok considering this, you must create a free account just for testing. But I myself have invested my spare money and would advice any one to do the same,'always invest money that u can afford to loose ', but let's be practical at some points it's nothing much if we try a system if it's working not for one but paying all and with $4-5 considering like you nothing in crypto,if u r not taking small risks in crypto may be you are not in crypto my friend. Mining Zcash can be profitable, however, it can be difficult to calculate exactly how much money you're going to make. We've built this calculator to help you work it all out easily. It's designed to work wether you're using your own mining rig at home or you've opted for a cloud mining service. If you've picked a cloud mining service, input your initial contract fee, any maintenance fees there may be, along with any pool fees. If you're using your own rig, input your power costs in kw per hour (you can find this on an electricity bill or averages in your area can be found online if you're unsure) and hardware costs. The results are estimated below. It will show your profit in four sections; daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. This is based on the difficulty level of Zcash, as well as the exchange rate and price of ZEC to USD. We will also show you the time, in days, it will take for you to break even, taking into account your initial contract fee for cloud mining or your hardware costs for your own rig. What is this? The diff change is the rate at which the network difficulty is changing every month. Diff change is used for the estimated future profits graph and break-even analysis. Typically in crypto, network difficulty tends to increase over time, meaning a miner will generate less crypto with the same hardware. Accounting for this changing difficulty is essential to generate long term profitability predictions. How is this value calculated? The diff change value is calculated by looking at the current difficulty and comparing it to the 12 hour moving average of the difficulty one month ago. For smaller coins the diff change can sometimes be inaccurate due to a wildly fluctuating difficulty. Can I disable it? The diff change factor can be disabled by either manually setting it to 0 or clicking a 'Use Diff Change' switch found below the graph and in the break-even analysis section. What is this? The Break-Even Analysis feature can help you predict how long it will take to become profitable for a given setup. How is this calculated? Time to break-even is calculated by comparing your hardware cost (which you must enter below) to your predicted monthly profits and seeing how long until the initial hardware cost is paid off. The calculator also takes the changing difficulty (diff change) into account. If the network difficulty is increasing quickly, this will greatly increase your break-even time. The diff change can be excluded from the calculation by toggling the 'Use Diff Change' switch. Why is my break-even time 0 or never? Zcash Mining Profitability Calculator. Mining Zcash can be profitable, however, it can be difficult to calculate exactly how much money you're going to make. We've built this calculator to help you work it all out easily. It's designed to work wether you're using your own mining rig at home or you've opted for a cloud mining. If your break-even time is 0 you have likely forgotten to input your hardware cost below. If it is never, your break-even time has been calculated to be greater than 10 years. This is likely due to a large diff change value which causes your predicted profitability to turn negative in the future. You could try lowering the diff change for a less agressive prediction or disable it altogether. What is this? The profitability chart can help you visualize your long term mining projections. The chart can operate in one of three views: Total Profits The Total Profits view predicts what your overall profitability will be in the future. This is calculated by taking your current profits and adding them to each following months profits while factoring in the changing difficulty (diff change), the diff change factor can be disabled. This view assumes the price of the coin will stay the same. If you wish to account for a changing price (ie if you think the price will rise in the future), switch to the 'Coins Generated' view. Coins Generated This view looks at the number of coins you can expect to generate in the future. This view does not account for any expenses, it simply predicts how many coins you will generate with your given hashrate and the diff change value. A high diff change will cause you to generate fewer coins in the future. Total Costs This view sums your power and recurring costs. It can be used to predict the total cost to operate your mine over a given period of time. What is this? Price Change allows you to factor in the changing price of the currency into your projections. You can use this to generate accurate best-case and worst-case projections for your operation. Why does Price Change default to 0? It is impossible to predict what the price of any coin will be in the future, we leave the price predictions up to you. How does this value factor into the calculations? It depends on what Selling Profile is set to. For more details, click on the question mark beside the Selling Profile field found directly below Price Change. What is this? Selling Profile tells the calculator how to use the Price Change value. Price Change must be set to something other than 0 to have any effect on the profitability projections. Selling Profile has 4 different options: Sell Coins Monthly Profitability is calculated as if you were to sell all of your mined coins at the end of each month. Your profits will equal (money earned from selling) - (total expenses + hardware costs) Sell to Cover Expenses Only sell enough crypto to cover your monthly expenses. (electricity, rent, etc.) Your profits will equal (unsold crypto * predicted price) - (hardware costs) Sell a Portion Monthly Selecting this option will show the Sell Monthly field below, this is where you input what portion of crypto you would like to sell each month. For example, if you plan to sell 25% of your new crypto, enter 25 into the Sell Monthly field. Your profits will equal (money earned from selling) + (unsold crypto * predicted price) - (total expenses + hardware costs) Never Sell Coins Select this option if you plan on holding all of your crypto. Your profits will equal (all crypto mined * predicted price) - (total expenses + hardware costs). • • • • Mascot Website The California Institute of Technology (abbreviated Caltech) is a located in,, United States. According to a 2015 Pomona College study, Caltech ranked number one in the U.S. For the percentage of its graduates who go on to earn a PhD. Throop Polytechnic Institute, Pasadena, California, 1908, on its original campus at downtown Pasadena Caltech started as a founded in Pasadena in 1891 by local businessman and politician. The school was known successively as, (and Manual Training School) and before acquiring its current name in 1920. The vocational school was disbanded and the preparatory program was split off to form an independent in 1907. At a time when scientific research in the United States was still in its infancy,, a solar astronomer from the, founded the in 1904. He joined Throop's board of trustees in 1907, and soon began developing it and the whole of Pasadena into a major scientific and cultural destination. He engineered the appointment of, a literary scholar untutored in science but a capable administrator and fund raiser, to Throop's presidency in 1908. Scherer persuaded retired businessman and trustee Charles W. Gates to donate $25,000 in seed money to build Gates Laboratory, the first science building on campus. World Wars [ ] In 1910, Throop moved to its current site. Arthur Fleming donated the land for the permanent campus site. Throop Hall, 1912 In the same year, a bill was introduced in the calling for the establishment of a publicly funded 'California Institute of Technology', with an initial budget of a million dollars, ten times the budget of Throop at the time. The board of trustees offered to turn Throop over to the state, but the presidents of and the successfully lobbied to defeat the bill, which allowed Throop to develop as the only scientific research-oriented education institute in southern California, public or private, until the onset of the World War II necessitated the broader development of research-based science education. The promise of Throop attracted from to develop the institution and assist in establishing it as a center for science and technology. With the onset of World War I, Hale organized the to coordinate and support scientific work on military problems. While he supported the idea of federal appropriations for science, he took exception to a federal bill that would have funded engineering research at land-grant colleges, and instead sought to raise a $1 million national research fund entirely from private sources. To that end, as Hale wrote in: Throop College of Technology, in Pasadena California has recently afforded a striking illustration of one way in which the Research Council can secure co-operation and advance scientific investigation. This institution, with its able investigators and excellent research laboratories, could be of great service in any broad scheme of cooperation. President Scherer, hearing of the formation of the council, immediately offered to take part in its work, and with this object, he secured within three days an additional research endowment of one hundred thousand dollars. Through the National Research Council, Hale simultaneously lobbied for science to play a larger role in national affairs, and for Throop to play a national role in science. The new funds were designated for physics research, and ultimately led to the establishment of the Norman Bridge Laboratory, which attracted experimental from the in 1917. During the course of the war, Hale, Noyes and Millikan worked together in Washington on the NRC. Subsequently, they continued their partnership in developing Caltech. And at Caltech, 1932 Millikan served as 'Chairman of the Executive Council' (effectively Caltech's president) from 1921 to 1945, and his influence was such that the Institute was occasionally referred to as 'Millikan's School.' Millikan initiated a visiting-scholars program soon after joining Caltech. Scientists who accepted his invitation include luminaries such as,,, and. Arrived on the Caltech campus for the first time in 1931 to polish up his, and he returned to Caltech subsequently as a visiting professor in 1932 and 1933. During World War II, Caltech was one of 131 colleges and universities nationally that took part in the which offered students a path to a Navy commission. The also maintained a naval training school for, resident inspectors of ordnance and naval material, and a liaison officer to the on campus. Project Vista [ ] From April 1 to December 1, 1951, Caltech was the host of a federal classified study,. The selection of Caltech as host for the project was based on the university’s expertise in rocketry and nuclear physics. In response to the war in Korea and the pressure from the Soviet Union, the project was Caltech’s way of assisting the federal government in its effort to increase national security. The project was created to study new ways of improving the relationship between tactical air support and ground troops. The Army, Air Force, and Navy sponsored the project, however it was under contract with the Army. The study was named after the hotel, Vista del Arroyo Hotel, which housed the study. The study operated under a committee with the supervision of President., a professor at Caltech, was selected as research director. More than a fourth of Caltech’s faculty and a group of outside scientists staffed the project. Moreover, the number increases if one takes into account visiting scientists, military liaisons, secretarial, and security staff. In compensation for its participation, the university received about $750,000. Post-war growth [ ] In the 1950s–1970s, Caltech was the home of and, whose work was central to the establishment of the of particle physics. Feynman was also widely known outside the physics community as an exceptional teacher and colorful, unconventional character. During 's tenure as Caltech's president (1946–1969), Caltech's faculty doubled and the campus tripled in size. DuBridge, unlike his predecessors, welcomed of science. New research fields flourished, including,,, and. A 200-inch telescope was dedicated on nearby Palomar Mountain in 1948 and remained the world's most powerful optical telescope for over forty years. Caltech opened its doors to female undergraduates during the presidency of in 1970, and they made up 14% of the entering class. The fraction of female undergraduates has been increasing since then. Caltech undergraduates have historically been so apathetic to politics [ ] [ ] that there has been only one organized student protest in January 1968 outside the Burbank studios of, in response to rumors that NBC was to cancel. In 1973, the students from protested a presidential visit with a sign on the library bearing the simple phrase '. The following week, Ross McCollum, president of the, wrote an open letter to Dabney House stating that in light of their actions he had decided not to donate one million dollars to Caltech. The Dabney family, being Republicans, disowned Dabney House after hearing of the prank. 21st century [ ] Since 2000, the has been located at Caltech. The project was established in 1986 to assemble, preserve, translate, and publish papers selected from the literary estate of Albert Einstein and from other collections. The new Annenberg Center for Information Science and Technology In fall 2008, the freshman class was 42% female, a record for Caltech's undergraduate enrollment. In the same year, the Institute concluded a six-year-long fund-raising campaign. The campaign raised more than $1.4 billion from about 16,000 donors. Nearly half of the funds went into the support of Caltech programs and projects. In 2010, Caltech, in partnership with and headed by Professor, established a aimed at developing revolutionary methods to generate fuels directly from sunlight. This hub, the, will receive up to $122 million in federal funding over five years. Since 2012, Caltech began to offer classes through (MOOCs) under, and from 2013,. Jean-Lou Chameau, the eighth president, announced on February 19, 2013, that he would be stepping down to accept the presidency. Was announced to be the ninth president of Caltech on October 24, 2013, and his term began on July 1, 2014. The Millikan Library, the tallest building on campus Caltech's 124-acre (50 ha) primary campus is located in, approximately 11 miles (18 km) northeast of. It is within walking distance of and the and therefore the two locations are frequent getaways for Caltech students. In 1917 Hale hired architect to produce a master plan for the 22 acres (8.9 ha) campus. Goodhue conceived the overall layout of the campus and designed the physics building, Dabney Hall, and several other structures, in which he sought to be consistent with the local climate, the character of the school, and Hale's educational philosophy. Goodhue's designs for Caltech were also influenced by the traditional of Southern California. During the 1960s, Caltech underwent considerable expansion, in part due to the philanthropy of alumnus. In 1953, Beckman was asked to join the Caltech Board of Trustees.: 282 In 1964, he became its chairman.: 275 Over the next few years, as Caltech's president emeritus describes it, Arnold Beckman and his wife Mabel 'shaped the destiny of Caltech'.: 288 The Beckmans made a major gift to Caltech in 1962, when they funded the construction of the Beckman Auditorium, a concert hall designed by architect. When the circular white stone hall opened with a gala concert on February 25, 1964, it was praised for its acoustics.: 289–291 The auditorium was the first of several expansions at Caltech that the Beckmans supported. In 1974, the Beckman Laboratory of Behavioral Biology (BBB) was dedicated.: 291 The building was seen as a significant step towards the establishment of a new program focusing on and a multi-leveled understanding of brain and its mechanisms at the chemical, cellular, and systems levels.: 153–154 On April 25, 1986, the Beckman Laboratory of Chemical Synthesis was dedicated. The Beckmans' gift supported not only the building, but also the installation of state-of-the-art scientific instrumentation in six customized laboratories. Finally, the Beckmans funded the, a multi-disciplinary center for research in the chemical and biological sciences. In 1986, Beckman agreed to donate $50 million towards the institute and its endowment. Designed by architect in a Spanish style, the Beckman Institute was dedicated on October 26, 1989, and opened in 1990.: 275–290 In 1971 a in caused some damage to the Caltech campus. Engineers who evaluated the damage found that two historic buildings dating from the early days of the Institute—Throop Hall and the Goodhue-designed Culbertson Auditorium—had cracked. These were some of the first buildings, and their plans did not contain enough details (such as how much had been embedded in the concrete) to be sure they were safe, so the engineers recommended demolition. However, demolishing these historic structures required considerably more effort than would have been necessary had they been in real danger of collapse. A large was used to demolish Throop Hall, and smashing the concrete revealed massive amounts of rebar, far in excess of safety requirements. The rebar had to be cut up before the pieces could be hauled away, and the process took much longer than expected. New additions to the campus include the Cahill Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics and the and Center for Information Science and Technology, which opened in 2009, and the Warren and Katherine Schlinger Laboratory for Chemistry and Chemical Engineering followed in March 2010. The Institute also concluded an upgrading of the in 2006. In late 2010, Caltech completed a 1.3 MW projected to produce approximately 1.6 GWh in 2011. Organization and administration [ ]. The Bridge Laboratory of Physics The mission statement of Caltech reads: The mission of the California Institute of Technology is to expand human knowledge and benefit society through research integrated with education. The most popular options are Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Physics. Prior to the entering class of 2017, Caltech requires students to take a core curriculum of three terms of mathematics, three terms of physics, two terms of chemistry, one term of biology, two terms of lab courses, one terms of scientific communication, three terms of physical education, and 12 terms of humanities and social science. Breezeway of Arms Laboratory A typical class is worth 9 academic units and given the extensive core curriculum requirements in addition to individual options' degree requirements, students need to take an average of 40.5 units per term (more than four classes) in order to graduate in four years. 36 units is the minimum full-time load, 48 units is considered a heavy load, and registrations above 51 units require an overload petition. Approximately 20 percent of students double-major. This is achievable since the humanities and social sciences majors have been designed to be done in conjunction with a science major. Although choosing two options in the same division is discouraged, it is still possible. First-year students are enrolled in first-term classes based upon results of placement exams in math, physics, chemistry, and writing and take all classes in their first two terms on a Pass/Fail basis. There is little competition; collaboration on is encouraged and the Honor System encourages take-home tests and flexible homework schedules. Caltech offers co-operative programs with other schools, such as the Pasadena and. Upon graduation, Caltech alumni have one of the highest median starting salary among graduates of other colleges or universities in 2012–2013, of $67,400, according to. The mid-career median pay is $120,700. Caltech was found to offer the second highest return of investment of college education, at $1,991,000 over a 30-year period, according to the same study. Caltech offers Army and Air Force in cooperation with the. Graduate program [ ]. Of the California Institute of Technology The graduate instructional programs emphasize doctoral studies and are dominated by science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields. GRE Subject scores are either required or strongly recommended by several options. A joint program between Caltech and the, and the grants MD/PhD degrees. Students in this program do their preclinical and clinical work at or, and their PhD work with any member of the Caltech faculty, including the Biology, Chemistry, and Engineering and Applied Sciences Divisions. The MD degree would be from USC or UCLA and the PhD would be awarded from Caltech. The research facilities at Caltech are available to graduate students, but there are opportunities for students to work in facilities of other universities, research centers as well as private industries. The graduate student to faculty ratio is 4:1. Approximately 99 percent of doctoral students have full financial support. Financial support for graduate students comes in the form of fellowships, research assistantships, teaching assistantships or a combination of fellowship and assistantship support. Graduate students are bound by the Honor Code, as are the undergraduates, and the Graduate Honor Council oversees any violations of the code. Research [ ] Caltech was elected to the in 1934 and remains a research university with 'very high' research activity, primarily in. Caltech manages research expenditures of $270 million annually, 66th among all universities in the U.S. And 17th among private institutions without medical schools for 2008. Caltech operates several stations as part of an international collaborative effort of measuring greenhouse gases globally. One station is on campus. The Cahill Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics Undergraduates at Caltech are also encouraged to participate in research. About 80% of the class of 2010 did research through the annual program at least once during their stay, and many continued during the school year. Students write and submit SURF proposals for research projects in collaboration with professors, and about 70 percent of applicants are awarded SURFs. The program is open to both Caltech and non-Caltech undergraduate students. It serves as preparation for graduate school and helps to explain why Caltech has the highest percentage of alumni who go on to receive a PhD of all the major universities. The licensing and transferring of technology to the commercial sector is managed by the Office of (OTT). OTT protects and manages the intellectual property developed by faculty members, students, other researchers, and JPL technologists. Caltech receives more invention disclosures per faculty member than any other university in the nation. As of 2008, 1891 patents were granted to Caltech researchers since 1969. There are two to three plays organized by TACIT per year, and they were involved in the production of the, released in 2011. Student life traditions [ ] Annual events [ ] Every, Dabney House conducts the infamous 'Millikan pumpkin-drop experiment' from the top of Millikan Library, the highest point on campus. According to tradition, a claim was once made that the shattering of a pumpkin frozen in and dropped from a sufficient height would produce a spark. This yearly event involves a crowd of observers, who try to spot the elusive spark. The title of the event is an oblique reference to the famous which measured e, the. On Ditch Day, the seniors ditch school, leaving behind elaborately designed tasks and traps at the doors of their rooms to prevent underclassmen from entering. Over the years this has evolved to the point where many seniors spend months designing mechanical, electrical, and software obstacles to confound the underclassmen. Each group of seniors designs a 'stack' to be solved by a handful of underclassmen. The faculty have been drawn into the event as well, and cancel all classes on Ditch Day so the underclassmen can participate in what has become a highlight of the academic year. Another long-standing tradition is the playing of Wagner's ' at 7:00 each morning during finals week with the largest, loudest speakers available. The playing of that piece is not allowed at any other time (except if one happens to be listening to the entire 14 hours and 5 minutes of ), and any offender is dragged into the showers to be drenched in cold water fully dressed. The playing of the Ride is such a strong tradition that the music was used during to awaken Astronaut, a Caltech alumnus. Unfortunately, the tradition arose at different times in different Houses, so Schmitt did not react as expected. Instead, he just became confused. The Fleming cannon Caltech students have been known for the many (also known as 'RFs'). The two most famous in recent history are the changing of the to read 'Caltech', by judiciously covering up certain parts of the letters, and the changing of the scoreboard to read Caltech 38, MIT 9 during the. But the most famous of all occurred during the, where Caltech students altered the flip-cards that were raised by the stadium attendees to display 'Caltech', and several other 'unintended' messages. This event is now referred to as the. In recent years, pranking has been officially encouraged by Tom Mannion, Caltech's Assistant VP for Student Affairs and Campus Life. 'The grand old days of pranking have gone away at Caltech, and that's what we are trying to bring back,' reported the Boston Globe. In December 2011, Caltech students went to New York and pulled a prank on Manhattan's. The prank involved making sculpture look like the Weighted Companion Cube from the video game. When initating the descent, something did not work out as expected, and less than ten minutes later the hexacopter crashed because the failed descent attempts had drained the battery. Important background information: This video depicts a very dangerous situation that could have ended up much worse than it actually did. I was very lucky not to cause any damage on the ground to either living beings or property. Not proud of this particular flight, and my main reason for putting the video on YouTube is to inform others and hopefully help them avoid making the same mistake(s) I did. My arguments for performing a high altitude flight at all were as follows: - No airplanes in this area ever fly as low as I did in the video - There is generally not much air traffic in this area at all - I checked with flightradar24.com before flying -, and emergency flights are virtually non-existant in this area - The multirotor was supposed to go straight up and straight down again all of this, I still realize it was a mistake flying that high, especially on this particular occasion. The wind on the ground was not very strong, but higher up, the wind was so strong that the hexacopter had to struggle to stay in position. When I started descending, the hexacopter did not seem to respond to my command, and the only way to make it respond was to disconnect the GPS mode. It then started descending, but it also started moving away with the wind. To be noted before commenting on the video: I PERFORM HIGH ALTITUDE FLIGHTS ANYMORE, OVER POPULATED AREAS. Hence, it is unnecessary to ask me to stop flying like I did in the video, since it definitely won't happen again anyway. Was a harsh wakeup call that totally made me rethink my attitude towards multirotor flying, and I realize now that high altitude flights and flights over populated areas are way too risky and dangerous. THE MULTIROTOR DID NOT CAUSE ANY DAMAGE ON THE GROUND, TO EITHER, ANIMALS, OR PROPERTY. Said this, I am fully aware that something disastrous could have happened, and there is no need to keep reminding me about that fact. I WAS CONFIDENT THAT THE MULTIROTOR WOULD AUTOMATICALLY PERFORM A CONTROLLED LANDING IF THE BATTERY REACHED ITS SPECIFIED MINIMUM. After reading the documentation, I felt reassured knowing that I had specified two battery level limits, where the second (lowest) limit, if reached, would initiate a forced automatic landing. This never happened, so this was either a misunderstanding on my behalf, or unclear documentation, or a combination of both. Also, I do not live in the US, so the will probably not be too interested in this flight. My advice to any and all multirotor flyers out there: Never ever take any unnecessary risks. It is never worth it. I got away with it this time, but I could as well have ended up hurting or even killing someone on the ground. We experienced a real time demonstration of how fast things could change while airborne. Using G1000 satellite weather, Foreflight/ weather on iPad, and chatter from other planes in the area, we started developing a picture for what the weather was doing; and what it was doing was happening much faster than forecast. We concluded that even though we can make it to London before it got hit, a full stop landing and lunch as planned would ground us for an extended period of time. Shortly after us departing the area, the system hit London resulting in the need to issue 4 's within 1 hour. Although disappointed to change plans, as many of us would be under similar circumstances, Ali and glad with our correct assessment of a very fluid situation and our ability to make the correct calls and stick to them. I want to thank several users from reddit/flying for helping me dig up the archival weather info to confirm the details for this video, as it was a couple months after the flight that I did the editing. PLEASE READ ALL BELOW BEFORE POSTING! --- I planned to perform a short controlled high altitude flight, going straight up, and then straight down again. Economy & Regulation Despite some indecisiveness about cryptocurrencies on the part of centralized power, Russia has been quietly preparing for a wave of migrant crypto miners from East and West. It’s been said that the country has got what it takes to invite them. A third of the Soviet era power producing capacity is idling, after energy hungry industries were closed and scrapped in the 90’s. Experts, home and abroad, members of the local crypto community, all agree – Russia is ready to welcome bitcoin miners from China and Europe. That’s if Moscow says “yes” or at least doesn’t say “no”. Also read: Russians Mean Business “Hello, Invite Chinese miners to Russia!! Excess electricity capacity – 20 MW 3 rubles/kWh (0.05USD; 0.32RMB)”. This is just one of many ads you can find in these days. With electric installation to plug in the rigs – ready, internet cables stretched in a 5,000 m 2 air-cooled building – check, fire alarm and CCTV cameras – installed, and 24/7 tech support – available, Russians mean business. The country is ready and even bragging about what it can offer to miners chased beyond the Great Wall, but not only, “Do you cooperate with European colleagues?” a question reads when you scroll down. “I’ll send the contract”, the answer follows shortly after. Dozens of applications to mine bitcoin in Russia have been received already from companies and individuals from China and the EU, as. The Russian Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Association has invited colleagues from China and Slovakia to help increase Russia’s appeal to relocating miners. Spanning 11 time zones, filthy rich with natural resources and cheap energy, the largest country has a lot to offer. It has been estimated that the mining industry can pour trillions of rubles into federal and regional budgets. And Russian experts say authorities must think about creating the right conditions to accommodate the market. Abandoned Soviet early warning radar Duga (Ukraine). Intercepting Long Wave Radio Chatter Government, business and crypto community have long recognized certain developments to the East and West of Russia. Signals from Beijing, Brussels, and Washington have been heard and are certainly being analyzed and interpreted. Not willing to sacrifice an inch of its “Sovereign Democracy” territory, Moscow, when it comes to cryptocurrencies, has been tempted to gain some ground, vacated by rivals and competitors. Recent moves by major players in the “multipolar” world, as Russia likes to view it, have cleared the arena for some bullish play by the Bear waking up after winter hibernation. In preparation for the G20 summit in March, Paris and Berlin are working on joint proposals to regulate cryptocurrencies; The US Treasury Secretary seeks help from the Group of 20 to prevent “digital anonymous Swiss bank accounts”; Headed by the People’s bank of China, a working group has prescribed measures to restrict mining operations in those Chinese regions that offer the best conditions – cheap electricity and cool climate. Well, Russia has both the climate and the power, electrical and political, to invite expelled crypto businesses and miners. Preparing its, expected by the summer, Russian authorities have sought advice from abroad. Have been asked to explain to Russian legislators how cryptocurrencies are mined and share knowledge about different approaches to regulation. The Russian Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Association has invited experts from China and Slovakia to help with proposals to increase Russia’s appeal to mining investors. They have joined a special committee representing the sector, RCBA’s president Yuriy Pripachkin told. Intentions to attract miners from, have been discussed in the past. “I don’t see any problem if the Chinese start relocating their mining farms to Russia”, Sergei Repetyuk, Economics Director at the Institute of Economics and Natural Monopolies, said, quoted by the agency. He also pointed out: Even in peak times, up to 40% of Russia’s power generating capacity remains unutilized. Repetyuk’s assertion was supported by Evgeniy Itsakov, associate professor at the Faculty of Economic and Social sciences: “There is a surplus of cheap electric energy in Russia, as the generating capacity has been designed to match the needs of the heavy Soviet industry”, he explained. Cryptocurrency mining is already a separate sector and will exist until something more effective, but just as reliable and anonymous, is invented, Itsakov added. Authorities must think about creating conditions for fair play on the market, he insisted. Soviet Era Gear to Power Today’s Disruptive Technology Crypto Mining needs a lot of energy. The proof of work for bitcoin has consumed more than 40 TWh of electricity in 2017, according to data released by and quoted by RIA Novosti. Processing Ethereum transactions spent more than 10 TWh by December. Up to 80% of the world’s mining capacity currently resides on Chinese territory. Potential energy shortages in provinces where the largest mining facilities are located, have reportedly worried Beijing. Authorities in two autonomous regions – Inner Mongolia and the Xinjiang-Uygur, and two provinces – Sichuan and Yunnan – have received recommendations from the capital to restrict electricity supplies to the miners. Build to supply the inefficient heavy industry of the Soviet Union, Russia’s energy producing facilities are now far from being stressed to their limits. Even in peak hours, Russian homes and businesses consume about 60% of what Russian coal, hydro and nuclear power stations can produce. Their aggregate capacity is estimated at 236 GW, far more than what the country currently needs. RCBA’s experts have already calculated that some 1.7 trillion rubles ($30 billion) may enter the Russian economy, if the idling facilities produce 100 GW of electricity to power crypto mining projects. Chinese miners should be excited by the fact that a lot of this surplus is concentrated in Russia’s Far East. President Putin’s representative there, Yuriy Trutnev, has already proposed using the excess power to mine cryptocurrencies. Reserves in the Russian one third of Europe and the Ural Federal District have also been reported. There are that a “Migration Period” has already started in Asia. Cool climate and cheap energy will be important factors for relocating miners. Russia and other countries in, along with and, have received media attention as mining destinations. Some of those countries are already competing to attract Chinese miners. Regions, like, have announced readiness to welcome mining immigrants, promising low electricity rates and positive attitude. Russia could be joining the race if intentions, like those of, win support from the federal government. A muted, but intense debate in Moscow has exposed some institutional fault lines. The Ministry of Finance supports legalizing trade but is lukewarm towards the crypto-ruble idea. The Central Bank has been pushing for a national digital currency, but is reluctant to allow trading of coin-based financial instruments on traditional exchanges. And the Kremlin is unlikely to reveal its true intentions before the presidential elections in March take place. Russia, though, may like the idea of hosting crypto mining because it does not necessarily imply adoption of cryptocurrencies. It just looks like a safe way to say “yes” to bitcoin and the rest, without actually uttering anything. Do you think that Russia will welcome Chinese miners and offer them incentives to invest? Bitcoin.com’s mining pool claims to be the most profitable pool for miners. Find out everything you need to know about the Bitcoin.com mining pool today in our review. What Is The Bitcoin.com Pool? Cloud mining or cloud hashing enables users to purchase mining capacity that of hardware in data centres. Two operators, Hashflare and Genesis Mining, have been offering contracts for several years. Bitcoin cloud mining enables people to earn Bitcoins without bitcoin mining hardware, bitcoin mining software, electricity,. Investing in Bitcoin & Crypto Currency Cloud Mining. Yearly or some contracts even lifetime). Many Cloud Mining Companies turn out to be complete scam schemes. How long ago did you purchase the mining contract? The price shown on our page for lifetime contracts is the price from our last batch of stock, when we restock the. Bitcoin.com’s pool is a bitcoin mining pool that promises to offer 110% block rewards and 0% fees. Typically, Bitcoin.com is known for its. It’s one of the most popular wallets available online today. However, the Bitcoin.com website also features further information about the bitcoin world, including information on how to buy bitcoin, or the latest news from the world of bitcoin. In any case, Bitcoin.com’s pool is a cloud mining pool. You buy into the pool at an initial price, pay a daily fee, and then enjoy a fixed hash rate for the year. The “110% block reward” claim has attracted some criticism. It’s not totally clear where that extra 10% comes from, although the company claims it comes from bitcoin. At the moment, the company appears to be benefiting from the bitcoin network’s relatively high transaction fees. Bitcoin.com launched its cloud mining pool in May 2017. To launch the pool, they claim to have partnered “with the largest farm in North America” in order to “source cloud mining hashrate at the best value.” How Does Bitcoin.com Work? Bitcoin.com works similar to other cloud mining services. You pay a fee to get started, then earn a certain amount of money from Bitcoin.com’s cloud mining operations per day. You can purchase a wide range of cloud mining contracts from Bitcoin.com – including a lifetime cloud mining subscription. Regardless of which package you purchase, you won’t be doing any of the cloud mining yourself. You’re paying Bitcoin.com to operate mining software on your behalf. However, if you have a miner – like an Antminer S9 or Avalon 721 – then you can connect it to the Bitcoin.com pool using their address displayed online. After a day of mining, all the PPS shares earned that day are viewable on your account, letting you mathematically verify that you’re being paid correctly for your hashrate. Who’s Behind Bitcoin.com’s Mining Pool? Bitcoin.com partnered with North America’s largest bitcoin mining data center. It’s unclear where that mining center is located. However, all hashrate for the pool appears to come from that data center. All contract sales for Bitcoin.com are handled by a dedicated pool support team. Meanwhile, the cloud was created by Bitcoin.com developer Shaun Chong under guidance from the company’s CTO, Emil Oldenburg, and Bitcoin.com’s CEO, Roger Ver. Bitcoin.com, by the way, is operated by a Saint Kitts and Nevis-based company named Saint Bitts, LLC. Bitcoin.com Pool Features Bitcoin.com advertises all of the following features: Most Profitable Pool for Miners: Bitcoin.com pays a 110% block reward and charges 0% fees for PPS and PPLNS. Cloud Mining: You can start mining immediately even if you don’t have any mining equipment yourself. Again, you’re just paying Bitcoin.com to operate mining equipment on your behalf. 100% Guaranteed Uptime: Bitcoin.com guarantees that its servers will never go down, and claims to have 100% guaranteed uptime. Mine BTC and BCC: Bitcoin.com calls the original Bitcoin (BTC) “Bitcoin Legacy”. In any case, the pool lets you switch between mining and. You can choose to mine either currency based on what’s more profitable. Bitcoin.com Pool Pricing Bitcoin.com has a number of different plans ranging from 12 months to a lifetime. The lifetime plans, however, are only guaranteed while profitable – so when your hashrate stops being profitable, your mining activity will stop. You can customize the hashrate of all plans, starting at just 1 TH/s and ranging all the way up to 15,000 TH/s. 12 Month Plan (Starting at 2 TH/s): $398 USD initial cost + $0.56 daily fee ($199 per TH/s) Lifetime Plan (Starting at 2 TH/s): $598 initial cost + $0.56 daily fee ($299 per TH/s) The cost per TH/s is always fixed. Right now, all Bitcoin.com mining pool subscriptions charge between $200 and $300 per TH/s. Bitcoin.com has two additional subscription plans listed, including two pre-order plans. These pre-order plans are shipping in September and October. As of early September 2017, however, all Bitcoin.com mining pool plans are listed as out of stock. Bitcoin.com Pool Conclusion Bitcoin.com’s mining pool doesn’t appear to be a scam – although users were initially skeptical about the “110% block reward” claim. In reality, that extra 10% of the reward comes from high transaction fees. As far as we can tell, Bitcoin.com operates a legitimate mining pool, and you can track your earnings at the end of every day. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Bitcoin.com pays the highest cloud mining profits to users. ViaBTC.com’s plans have paid out more per TH/s in the past, although the major mining companies are all pretty close in terms of profit. Ultimately, there are plenty of bitcoin cloud mining scams out there. Bitcoin.com, ViaBTC, and Hashflare are a few of the legitimate ones. Check each of these platforms before you buy to ensure you’re getting the best value for your bitcoin mining investment. Sep 16, 2017 - Sell or Buy computing power (hashing power) in the form of Cloud Mining for the purpose of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Monero, Dash, Zcash, Litecoin and. To determine if GPU mining will be profitable, enter your power costs and hash rates into this calculator. Below is a chart of viable GPUs from a Hash vs. Cryptocurrency mining is as popular as ever, as it in theory allows you to turn idle computing resources into a passive income. The problem is, that these days you require extremely powerful, specifically optimized hardware as well as access to very cheap or even free electricity. Testing on EC2 To determine just how difficult mining has become, I’ve decided to run a GPU miner on an Amazon AWS EC2 g2.8xlarge. This particular cloud instance is significantly faster than the hardware most people have at home, yet it is not specifically optimized for Cryptocurrency mining - the ideal candidate. Specs & Details • High Frequency Intel Xeon E5-2670 (Sandy Bridge) Processors (32 vCPU) • 4x NVIDIA GRID K520 (1,536 CUDA cores and 4GB of video memory) • 60GB of Memory, 2x120GB of SSD Storage • The Server costs $2.6 per hour ($62.4/day; $1860/month) • 1 Ethereum sells for $10.76 (2017-02-03) Tip: With AWS EC2 spot pricing, you can get the server for around $0.4777 / hour, depending on time of day, region and availability zone. That’s $343,94 / month. Results The hash rate of the EC2 server fluctuates between 23.3 MH/s and 47.7 MH/s. I suspect the performance varies based on what other users do on this shared, EC2 server. In any case, the results give us a good idea of what to expect when you run a miner on hardware that’s not specifically designed for mining. Based on average hash rate of 28 MH/s, each EC server would generate around 0.0045 Ether ($0.05) in income per hour. That means, over the course of a month you’d make $34.84 (3.25 Ether). Conclusion Unless the USD - ETH exchange rate increases by at least 1000%, mining on AWS EC2 remains unprofitable. Update: 2017-02-14 After around a week of EC2 mining, I have now shut down all AWS server. The Spot pricing I’ve been pursuing helped keep cost down but remains too expensive to be profitable. UPQC Controlled Capable Of Mitigating Unbalance In Source Voltage And Load Current Abstract: This paper reports the development of a laboratory prototype of a fully digital DSP-controlled 12-kVA unified power quality conditioner (UPQC), capable of compensating for both the supply voltage and the load current imperfections. A fully digital controller based on the TMS320F2812 DSP platform is implemented for the reference generation as well as control purposes. The delay problem in the digital controller is overcome by application of a fast DSP, a compact control technique and proper flow of control steps in the DSP software. A phase-locked loop- less software grid synchronization method has been implemented for the effective operation of the UPQC under conditions of grid frequency variation. A sequence-based compensation strategy has been developed to compensate for balanced and unbalanced sags while accommodating the fact that the voltage injection capability of the UPQC is limited. The prototype UPQC power circuit, control features, and control algorithm along with experimental results are presented in this paper. Index Terms: Current unbalance and nonlinear load, DSP- based control, power quality conditioning (PQC), unbalanced volt- age sag, unified power quality conditioner (UPQC). Reference [1] M. Implementation of Convolution Encoder and Viterbi Decoder for Constraint Length 7 and Bit Rate 1/2 Abstract: Convolutional codes are non blocking codes that can be designed to either error detecting or correcting. Convolution coding has been used in communication systems including deep space communication and wireless communication. At the receiver end the original message sequence is obtained from the received data using Viterbi decoder. It implements Viterbi Algorithm which is a maximum likelihood algorithm, based on the minimum cumulative hamming distance it decides the optimal trellis path that is most likely followed at the encoder. In this paper I present the convolution encoder and Viterbi decoder for constraint length 7 and bit rate 1/2. Keystroke Biometric For User Authentication - A Review Abstract: Conventionally, users are authenticated under the normal user name and password procedure. The latest trend in authentication is using Biometric as a feature for identifying users. By using biometrics as the integral part of authentication, the chances of imposters entering in a secured system becomes very low. Keystroke Biometric uses the behavioral typing pattern as a biometric for identifying a user. In this paper, a survey is carried out on three different approaches that implements keystroke biometric system. 1) Clustering Di-Graph (CDG): This method uses clustering digraphs based on temporal features. This method joins consecutive keystrokes for representing keystroke pattern. 2) Hamming Distance-like Filtering (HDF): In this method, the dissimilarity has their EER(Equal Error Rate) depending upon filtering of predefined value of gathered data. It is based on resemblance to Hamming Distance. 3) Free Text and Euclidean Distance based Approach (FTED): In this method, keys are classified into two halves (left - right) and four lines (total eight groups) and then timing vectors (of flight time) are obtained between these key groups. For distinguishing the legitimate user from imposters, Timing Vectors are used. A Novelty of Electroencephalogram Signal and Assessment of Sub Band Data Distribution for Brain Balancing Application. Abstract: The power spectral density (PSD) characteristics extracted from three-dimensional (3D) electroencephalogram (EEG) models in brain balancing application. There were 51 healthy subjects contributed the EEG dataset. Development of 3D EEG models involves pre-processing of raw EEG signals and construction of spectrogram images. The resultant images which are two-dimensional (2D) were constructed via Short Time Fourier Transform (STFT). Optimization, color conversion, gradient and mesh algorithms are image processing techniques have been implemented. Then, maximum PSD values were extracted as features. The Shapiro-Wilk test has been used to check the normality of data distributio and the correlation between sub band has been analized using Pearson correlation. Is a stupendous technology adverted for remote desktop sharing. It is envisioned as an open source research project in the late 1990's which was spawned at the Oracle Research Lab. It is an intelligible protocol, based on a graphic primitive. This efficacious application is mainly contemplated for triggering and controlling remote desktop with in a network. This protocol is intrinsically used for prospecting Graphical User Interface desktops on remote machines within a LAN or over a WAN and providing access to home computing environments. Usually applications on a network can be accessed and executed by users as per the permissions ascribed by the administrator but impotent to access the desktop. The 'VNC' is one such application that helps in catering the imperative facilities for inducing specific applications on a remote machine. The ingenuousness and candor makes this protocol competent, robust and puissant. The VNC protocol is utterly independent of operating system, windowing system, and applications dissonant from other remote display protocols such as the XWindow System and Citrix's ICA.The VNC server is used for sharing and dispensing its screen where as, the VNC client ganders and collaborates with the server. Estimation of Pan Evaporation Using Mean Air Temperature and Radiation for Monsoon Season in Junagadh Region Abstract: The significance of major meteorological factors, that influence the evaporation were evaluated at daily time-scale for monsoon season using the data from Junagadh station, Gujarat (India). The computed values were compared. The solar radiation and mean air temperature were found to be the significant factors influencing pan evaporation (Ep). The negative correlation was found between relative humidity and (Ep), while wind speed, vapour pressure deficit and bright sunshine hours were found least correlated and no longer remained controlling factors influencing (Ep). The objective of the present study is to compare and evaluate the performance of six different methods based on temperature and radiation to select the most appropriate equations for estimating (Ep). The three quantitative standard statistical performance evaluation measures, coefficient of determination (R2), root mean square of errors-observations standard deviation ratio (RSR) and Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency coefficient (E) are employed as performance criteria. The results show that the Jensen equation yielded the most reliable results in estimation of (Ep) and it can be recommended for estimating (Ep) for monsoon season in the study region. Abstract: Adder being the basic hardware block of any arithmetic operation, the major constraint in the field of signal processors, data processors to perform any operations are highly dependent on the adder performance of the circuit. The gate level implementation of the carry select adder (CSLA) and modified carry select adder has significantly reduced the area and power consumption which replaced the ripple carry adder (RCA) used in modified CSLA with MUX-ADD block has further reduced the power consumption by efficiently utilizing the area with faster performance Reference [1] O. Experimental Design of High Yield Polypyrrole by Taguchi Method Abstract: Taguchi method was successfully implemented in the robust design and development of Polypyrrole synthesis employing inverted emulsion polymerization technique using methanesulfonic acid as a novel dopant along with Potassium persulfate as an oxidant. Polypyrrole salt was obtained in a very high percent yield (83.77%) with respect to the amount of pyrrole used and the reaction time was considerably reduced (1 hour and 10 minutes) as compared to previously reported synthesis methods. The settings of the process parameters were determined by using Taguchi's experimental design method. Orthogonal arrays of Taguchi, the signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio, the analysis of one way variance (ANOVA), and regression analyses are employed to find the optimal process parameter levels and to analyze the effect of these parameters on percent yield of Polypyrrole salt. High Speed Fault Injection Tool Implemented With Verilog HDL on FPGA for Testing Fault Tolerance Designs Abstract: This paper presents an FPGA-based fault injection tool, called FITO that supports several synthesizable fault models for dependability analysis of digital systems modeled by Verilog HDL. Using the FITO, experiments can be performed in real-time with good controllability and observability. As a case study, an Open RISC 1200 microprocessor was evaluated using an FPGA circuit. About 4000 permanent, transient, and SEUfaults were injected into this microprocessor. The results show that the FITO tool is more than 79 times faster than a pure simulation-based fault injection with only 2.5% FPGA area overhead. Design and Implementation of Power Converters for Hybrid Wind-Solar Energy Conversion System with an Implementation of MPPT Abstract: This paper presents the design and implementation of power converters for wind conversion systems. The power converter can not only transfer the power from a wind generator, but also improve the stability and safety of the system. The proposed system consists of a Permanent magnet synchronous generator (PMSG); a DC/DC boosts converter, a bi-directional DC/DC converter and a full-bridge DC/AC inverter. The wind generator is the main power source of the system, and the battery is used for energy storage and power compensation to recover the natural irregularity of the wind power. In this paper presents a new system configuration of the front-end rectifier stage for a hybrid wind or photo voltaic energy system. The configuration allows the two sources to supply the load separately or simultaneously, depending on the availability of energy sources. The inherent nature of this cuk-scpic fused converter, additional input filters are not necessary to filter out high frequency harmonic content is determinant for the generator life span, heating issue and efficiency. The fused multi-input rectifier stage also allows maximum power from the wind and sun. When it is available an adaptive MPPT algorithm will be used for photo voltaic (PV) system. Operational analysis of the proposed system, will discoursed in this paper simulation results are given to highlight the merit of the proposed circuit Index terms: Wind generator, PV and Fuel Cells, Bi-directional DC/DC converter, full-bridge DC/AC inverter, MPPT. Meditation Research: A Comprehensive Review Abstract: Research on Meditation has already gained immense prominence and is the most favored subfield of heart and brain research. However, like the other intricate, complex medicinal interventions, meditation symbolizes a concoction of explicit and not so explicit components of therapy. On the other hand, meditation is rather distinctive that it is quite tricky to homogenize measure and validate for the given research data from the subjects. As a consequence, it is a lot demanding to distinguish its exact effects to please the technical routine of fundamental interferences that inspires therapy based on facts. There are lots of challenges involved in mediation research including the diversity in meditation techniques, issues concerning the implementation of a meditation technique, personal disparities across the Meditators, and identifying the difference between these meditation techniques and placebo effect. Researchers are recording the activities of brain, heart and other biological systems to study the impact of the various kinds of mediation on the psychological and physiological status of the human entity and arriving at various constructive conclusions for the benefit of the human kind. In this paper, a comprehensive review on meditation, various types of meditation, meditation data acquisition by researchers, the methodology, and applications of meditation research is presented for the welfare of the human entity. Singular Value Decomposition for Multidimensional Matrices Abstract: Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) is of great significance in theory development of mathematics and statistics. In this paper we propose the SVD for 3-dimensional (3-D) matrices and extend it to the general Multidimensional Matrices (MM). We use the basic operations associated with MM introduced by Solo to define some additional aspects of MM. We achieve SVD for 3-D matrix through these MM operations. The proposed SVD has similar characterizations as for 2-D matrices. Further we summarize various characterizations of singular values obtained through the SVD of MM. We demonstrate our results with an example and compare them with the existing method. We also develop Matlab functions to perform SVD of MM and some related MM operations. Parametric Data Modeling and Experimental Approach for Spot Weldment in SS202 Abstract: The interest of data modeling of process parameters in now a days based broadly upon numerical methods.variations in parametric set can be experimented for finding an optimized or desired value for a output property. This paper is to expose the experimental design approach to process parameter optimization of spot welding process for SS202.The objective of this experiment is to investigate the welding parameters performance in tensile shear failure strength and to optimize the parametric set for highest tensile strength achievable. From the experimental data achieved, the parametric relation between tensile shear stress and the parameters were found out using regression analysis. The optimum value for the parameters affecting tensile shear strength also found out by using soft computing methods like Simulated Annealing and Genetic Algorithm. There are various types of parameter that influence the mechanical properties of welding on the spot welding machine where in this experiment the parameter that will be investigate are weld cycle, squeeze time and weld current, hold time, weld force and weld current. Here also both optimized values were compared for greatest tensile shear strength value. Key words: Genetic Algorithm,Optimization,Regression,Scatterplot,Simulated annealing Algorithm. Background subtraction serves as a basic method typically used to segment the moving objects in image sequences taken from a camera. Some existing algorithms cannot fine-tune changing circumstances and they need manual calibration in relation to specification of parameters or some hypotheses for dynamic changing background. An adaptive motion segmentation and detection strategy is developed by using motion variation and chromatic characteristics, which eliminates undesired corruption of the background model and it doesn't look on the adaptation coefficient. In this particular proposed work, a novel real-time motion detection algorithm is proposed for dynamic changing background features. The algorithm integrates the temporal differencing along with optical flow method, double background filtering method and morphological processing techniques to achieve better detection performance. Temporal differencing is designed to detect initial motion areas for the optical-flow calculation to produce real-time and accurate object motion vectors detection. The double background filtering method is obtain and keep a reliable background image to handle variations on environmental changing conditions that is designed to get rid of the background interference and separate the moving objects from it. The morphological processing methods are adopted and mixed with the double background filtering to obtain improved results. The most attractive benefit for this algorithm is that the algorithm does not require to figure out the background model from hundreds of images and can handle quick image variations without prior understanding of the object size and shape. Secure Level Transmission in Wi-Fi Using Cryptography Abstract: Wi-Fi, is a mechanism that allows electronic devices to exchange data wirelessly over a computer network Wi-Fi suggests Wireless Fidelity, resembling the long-established audio-equipment classification term Hi-Fi or High Fidelity. This paper first gives some background information about WiFi system and security issues in ad hoc networks, then it concentrates on the specific security measures like hybrid encryption techniques using both AES and RSA algorithms and also the different standards. To provide the security for the data transmitted through WiFi,it uses WEP algorithm,WEP64 and WEP128 and then it moves to WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) as the key is short in WEP.WPA use the TKIP and depends on RC4,which consist of 128 bit and 48 bit. The security comparisons show that WPA and TPIK is more advantageous than WEP and hence it is more preferable. Key words: Wi-Fi, WEP, WPA, TPIK Reference [1] Arash Habibi Lashkari, F. Optimized Pattern Mining Of Sample Data Abstract: Data precise is often found in real-world applications due to reasons such as imprecise measurement, outdated sources, or sampling errors. Much research has been published in the area of managing in databases. In many cases, only partially aggregated data sets are available because of privacy concerns. Thus, each aggregated record can be represented by a probability distribution. In other privacy-preserving data mining applications, the data is perturbed in order to preserve the sensitivity of attribute values. In some cases, probability density functions of the records may be available. Some recent techniques construct privacy models, such that the output of the transformation approach is friendly to the use of data mining and management techniques. Here data is inherent in applications such as sensor monitoring systems, location-based services, and biological databases. There is an increasing desire to use this technology in new application domains. One such application domain that is likely to acquire considerable significance in the near future is database mining. The information in those organizations are classified using EMV, mean obtained after calculating the profit. Decision tree is constructed using the profit and EMV values which prunes the data to the desired extent. An increasing number of organizations are creating ultra large data bases (measured in gigabytes and even terabytes) of business data, such as consumer data, transaction histories, sales records, etc. Such data forms a potential gold mine of valuable business information. Lamp-Ballast Compatibility Index for Efficient Ceramic Metal Halide Lamp Operation Abstract: Development of energy efficient products and exploration of energy saving potential are major challenges for present day's technology. Ceramic Metal Halide lamp is the latest improved version of metal halide lamp that finds its wide applications in indoor commercial lighting especially in retail shop lighting. This lamp shows better performance in terms of higher lumen per watt and colour constancy in comparison to conventional metal halide lamp. The inherent negative incremental impedance of CMH lamp demands the use of current control device in the lamp circuit and perfect matching of lamp ballast combination is required for efficient lamp operation. The electrical and photometric performance of two sets of commercial 70 watt CMH lamp and intregated ballast units were measured to investigate their compatibility for optimum lamp operation. The measured data were utilized to develop an electrical model for lamp ballast combination. Using this model a compatibility index is proposed which can be used for assessment of lamp performance. The Effects of Machine and Poultry Parameters on Feather Plucking Abstract: A developed poultry feather plucking machine was evaluated using two breed (Isa Brown layer and Cockerel) at the machine speed of 225, 312, 369 and 426rpm, and scalding time of 30, 60 and 90 seconds. The left over feather on bird after machine operation were manually plucked and plucking efficiency calculated on mass basis. The results show that the machine performance on cockerel has highest plucking efficiency. The plucking efficiency decreased as the machine speed and scalding the increased. The overall mean performance was 67.65% (+16.45) and the maximum plucking efficiency of 99.43% was obtained on cockerel at 225rpm and 30 seconds scalding time. Analysis of variance shows no significant difference on breed but on machine speed and scalding time at 5% level. The machine is simple to operate and maintain, adopt and adoptable for the small and medium scale poultry farming. Key words: Poultry, Feather, Plucking, Efficiency Adejumo A. D, Adegbie A. Swarm Intelligence Based Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) Approach for Maximizing the Lifetime of Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks Abstract: This paper attempts to undertake the study of maximizing the lifetime of Heterogeneous wireless sensor networks (WSNs). In wireless sensor networks, sensor nodes are typically power-constrained with limited lifetime, and thus it is necessary to know how long the network sustains its networking operations. Heterogeneous WSNs consists of different sensor devices with different capabilities. We can enhance the quality of monitoring in wireless sensor networks by increasing the coverage area. One of major issue in WSNs is finding maximum number of connected coverage. This paper proposed a Swarm Intelligence, Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) based approach. Ant colony optimization algorithm provides a natural and intrinsic way of exploration of search space of coverage area. Ants communicate with their nest- mates using chemical scents known as pheromones, Based on Pheromone trail between sensor devices the shortest path is found. The methodology is based on finding the maximum number of connected covers that satisfy both sensing coverage and network connectivity. By finding the coverage area and sensing range, the network lifetime maximized and reduces the energy consumption Key words: Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN'S), Ant Colony Optimization, Connective Coverage, Network Lifetime. Potential Rainwater Harvesting For Irrigation In Godagari Upazilla, Rajshahi Abstract: Water is an essential input for modern agriculture and more use of irrigation water has contributed to manifold increases in crop productivity in Bangladesh. Godagari Upazilla is located in High Barind tract situated in the northwest portion of Bangladesh. A typical dry climate with comparatively high temperature prevails in this Barind area. The Barind tract is an area of low and erratic rainfall with limited irrigation potential. Farmers there largely rely on rain fed cropping. But rainwater has been the supplementary irrigation resource and thus dependency on groundwater has been increased. A gradual fall in the groundwater level due to excessive withdrawal of water for irrigation has been contributing to a water crisis and affecting agricultural production and environmental degradation in the region. Rainwater harvesting might be potential alternative way of extensive irrigation. The study was undertaken with a view to determine consumptive use for the Aman, Aus and Boro crops and availability of rain water. The maximum water requirement in the study area in Boro season and excess rainfall occurs in Aman and Aus season and irrigation requirement is less in this season. The excess rainwater that can be stored in the existing ponds and dependency on groundwater can be reduced. Modal and Stress Analysis of Differential Gearbox Casing with Optimization Abstract: The process of casting design in the automotive industry has been significantly refined over the years through the capabilities of advanced computer aided design and engineering tools. One of the significant benefits of these computer aided capabilities is the direct access to CAD geometry data, from which finite element models can be quickly developed. Complex structures can be meshed and analyzed over a relatively short period of time. The application of advanced finite element analyses such as structural modification and optimization are often used to reduce component complexity, weight and subsequently cost. Because the level of model complexity can be high, the opportunity for error can also be high. For this reason, some form of model verification is needed before design decisions made in the FEA environment can implemented in production with high confidence. Dynamic correlation, comparison of mode shapes and natural frequencies, is a robust tool for evaluating the accuracy of a finite element model. The objective of the project is to analyze differential gearbox casing of pick up van vehicle for modal and stress analysis. The theoretical modal analysis needs to be validated with experimental results from Fourier frequency transformer analysis. The main motivation behind the work is to go for a complete FEA [1] of casing rather than empirical formulae and iterative procedures Key words: Differential gearbox casing, Modal analysis, Stress analysis, Optimization, FFT analyzer, vibration Reference [1] William R. Determination of the Amount of Acrylamide Formation during Frying of Potato in Sesame Oil, Palm Olein and the Blend of Them Abstract: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of frying oil type on acrylamide formation in fried potatoes in Sesame oil, Palm olein and the blend of them. The samples of fried potatoes were prepared by frying the slices of Agriya potatoes in Sesame oil, Palm olein and the blend of them in the ratio of 50:50 (%v/v) at 180 0c for 4/15 minutes. The amount of acrylamide in the samples of fried potatoes was determined by GC-ECD. The experiment was carried out in the completely randomized design in triplicates. The examined samples of fried potatoes in each oil were significantly (p. Capacitor Placement in Radial Distribution System for Improve Network Efficiency Using Artificial Bee Colony Abstract: Increasing application of capacitor banks on distribution networks is the direct impact of development of technology and the energy disasters that the world is encountering. To obtain these goals the resources capacity and the installation place are of a crucial importance. In this paper a new method is proposed to find the optimal and simultaneous place and capacity of these resources to reduce losses, improve voltage profile. The advantage of ABC algorithm is that it does not require external parameters such as cross over rate and mutation rate as in case of genetic algorithm and differential evolution and it is hard to determine these parameters in prior. To demonstrate the validity of the proposed algorithm, computer simulations are carried out on actual power network of Kerman Province, Iran and the simulation results are presented and discussed. It has changed the whole view that distributed computing, grid computing and parallel computing used to present. In the past few years cloud computing has grown widely and becomes the part of the IT industry, because it offers reliability, scalability, flexibility and cost effectiveness for computer processes. And also it offers reduced capital expenditure, complexity and maintenance, operational risks to those who ask for the service. It provides economical computing resources for business applications to small, medium and large organizations. It offers the resources and services through internet, where these services are delivered form data centres located throughout the world. Cloud networking is a new approach which adds networking functionalities to the cloud computing. It extends the approach of cloud computing by providing extra flexibility in the aspect of location, movement and interconnection in between virtual resources. This paper surveys the concept of cloud networking, cloud network management and its security architecture. Identification and Forensic Investigation of Network Intruders Based On Honeynet Abstract: In current modern world, internet is becoming the part of everyone's life and the use of internet is growing day by day. Thereby the security is becoming the main important aspect to protect the internet from unauthorized users and to protect the innocent end user of the internet. Cybercrime and network attacks are growing exponentially by the hacker's communities. There are numerous detection and prevention technologies like firewalls, IDS, antivirus etc but they don't provide complete security as there are certain shortcomings in these technologies. Since hackers and virus writers have come up with better ways to evade anti-virus technology throughout the years, the use of signature-based anti-virus software is proving to be less effective in putting a stop to malicious codes running in our computers. There is a need to find a way to analyze malicious activity without having to rely on the traditional signature based anti-virus tools but instead, complement what these tools can already do. For the development of network security model, network forensic is introduced which emphasize traditionally detection and prevention of attacks on networks. The power of various network forensic analysis tools available as open source can be integrated so that the investigator can have an edge over the attacker. In this paper, we discuss the network intruder's detection by forensically analysis of honeypot data. Network forensic can be integrated with IDS or firewalls but in our work we focused on forensic investigation of network data collected on honeynet to detect the intruders. Honeypot based system improve the defense mechanism as it is used to attract the attackers so that their process methodology can be observed and analyzed. The end result of this system is the collected information of network data which could further be analyzed forensically to get the intelligent information about the attackers and maintain the reports for network forensics. Metallic Particle Contamination in Three Phase Gas Insulated Busduct with Various Gas Mixtures Abstract: Sulphur Hexafluoride (SF6) is generally found to be very sensitive to field perturbations such as those caused by conductor surface imperfections and by conducting particle contaminants. A study of CIGRE group suggests that nearly 20% of failures in Gas Insulated Substations (GIS) are due to the existence of various metallic contaminations in the form of loose metallic particles. The breakdown strength of SF6 is susceptible to metallic particle contamination, the presence of contamination is therefore a problem with gas-insulated substations operating at high fields. Thus, it is needed to develop the alternative dielectric gas or gas mixtures having better insulating characteristics and no greenhouse effect. The purpose of this paper is to develop techniques, which will formulate the basic equations that will govern the movement of metallic particles like Aluminium and Copper in a three phase gas insulated bus duct containing SF6 and other gas mixtures like air, Argon, Carbon dioxide, Krypton, Nitrogen and Xenon. Simulation is carried out on wire like particles with three phase power frequency voltages of 400 kV and 600 kV applied to inner conductors in a three phase gas insulated busduct and the results have been presented and analyzed. Lock Picking Throughout the RuneScape world, you will find that you are unable to open certain doors. If you are lucky, the door you are trying to pass through can be pick locked. To pick a lock, simply right click on the door and select 'Pick Lock.' If you are successful the door will open you will automatically walk through. If you fail, you will have to try again. Successfully opening some locked doors requires you to have a lockpick in your inventory in order to pick their locks. You can obtain lock picks from other players, or pick pocketed from bandits and rogues. Martin Thwait in the also sells lock picks. Door Location Required Level Experience Lockpick? Chest Looting Unlike doors, the chests you are able to thieve from in RuneScape are not safe. If you do not take care when thieving from chest, the traps hidden in them will hurt you. To find a trap on a chest, right click on it and select 'Search for Traps.' Your character will automatically find the trap and disarm it if your thieving level is high enough. To add onto the danger of thieving from chests, you have a chance of getting a poison cloud any time you search for a trap. The cloud doesn't poison you, but it can do a little bit of damage so be sure to take along some food if you plan on thieving from these chests. Please note that when you loot the Paladin and Blood Rune chests, you will be teleported outside their containing buildings. For the most part, chests do not give very good experience. The only chest that is really worth thieving is the Blood Rune Chest since it produces a fair amount of profit on top of the experience given. Stall Thieving In the past, you could only thieve stalls in the city of, however recently there have been many stall-thieving additions to the game. Stealing from stalls is a lot like chest looting; however, there are no traps on the stall. Instead, certain in game characters will be on the lookout for thieves like you and will fight you or knock you out if they catch you. To thieve from a stall, right click and select 'Steal from.' If nobody catches you in the act, you will take the items from the stall and they will appear in your inventory. You may be caught by the stall owner or any guard type NPC surrounding the stall. To avoid this, try to stay out of their lines of sight. When training the skill of thieving, the stall that require a high thieving level to steal from are not very useful because of their slow rates of respawn. I would recommend thieving from the Vegetable, Baker's, Tea, Silk, Seed and Fur stalls for the best experience. Pick Pocketing Pick pocketing is one of the major aspects of thieving since there are so many characters to pick pocket around RuneScape. To pick the pocket of a NPC, right click on it and select 'Pickpocket.' If you are successful, you will have gained some loot and thieving experience. If you fail, the NPC will stun you. When you are stunned, you will be unable to move. Remember the higher the thieving level you have, the lower the chance that you will fail. Pick pocketing will usually bring the best experience for thieving enthusiasts. The best NPC's to thieve from for the most efficient training would be Men/Women, Warrior women, Warriors, Rogues, Master Farmers, Guards, Desert bandits, Knights of, Watchmen and Paladins. Level 65-72 You can thieve without having to waste your own food! You should head down to the Watch tower or teleport over there if you have completed the Quest and begin. If you escape detection every time you steal from a Watchman, they will give you some bread and GP. Although that sounds like a good deal you should probably bring 10 units of food until you steal from a few Watchmen or are a higher level. Should you have done the quest, you can thieve Menaphites, provided you have access to the Menaphos desert city, using a blackjack at level 65. This can get you up to 150k xp an hour, depending on your thieving level. Level 72-99 You can now thieve Paladins at 70 thieving, but you have two options here: • If you want to make a lot of money, you should thieve paladins to whatever level you wish. • If you want to make less money and get the best experience then you should go find a knight and begin thieving. Whatever you choose it only gets easier from here to thieve things with every level. The best and also the fastest way to train your thieving at this level is to use. You can get up to 150,000 experience per hour at level 71 and the experience gets better by every new room you can access. Random Events There are only three random events for thieving. These are watchmen, poison gas clouds and the pillory. Watchmen: These can appear while doing any type of thieving activity. They attack you and your current combat level determines their level combat level. Poison Gas Cloud: This random event only appears while thieving chests. Any time you thieve a chest you have a chance of getting a poison cloud. This deals a small amount of damage, but will not poison you.; much like the Undead Ones in Shilo Village. Pillory: This random event gets you sent to the pillory where the game locks you in a cage and you have to unlock it to get out. While you are in the cage, a NPC will throw tomatoes at you, also other players can throw you while you are caged. Tips and Tricks When pick pocketing NPC's always try to corner them into a building. Thus, they will stand still while you thieve from so you are not chasing them. You should make sure that you let them wander around every few minutes, or they reset to their spawning point. In addition, if you attack your NPC by mistake just go up some near by stairs and come back down and it will stop attacking you. Another method to use that will ensure that you don't attack your NPC is by equipping any type of bow, without equipping arrows. This will prevent you from accidentally attacking them. When thieving, click to theive someone as fast as possible to get the best experience. If you get stunned start clicking pickpocket again a second before the stun wears off due to the fact it takes a second to register the command in game. If you are thieving in Center, do not bother to bring your own food. Just buy cakes from the baker on the server with the most cakes or just thieve. If you are thieving from a stall try and lock the shop owner or nearby guards into a building so they catch you less often. However, it does not always help, most of the time it does.
